Living Hope is a teaching ministry aimed at providing hope to its listeners. Hope is faith for the future. Living hope is a particular kind of hope that is based on Jesus who rose from the dead. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead" (1 Peter 1:3). If death can be defeated, then we can have hope that any other obstacle in life can be overcome. We can live victoriously in life by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. That is living hope.
The ministry of living hope is based on the belief that the Bible is the Word of God. Because the Bible is the Word of God when we study it we are nourished spiritually (Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4). The Word of God that helps us understand who we are (Hebrews 4:12) and how to live (Psalm 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16-17). The ministry of Living Hope as a Bible teaching ministry relies on the Spirit of God using the word of God to make people of God and offer hope. Through verse by verse Bible study we are brought closer to Jesus and built up spiritually. Apart from Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:5). With Jesus we can do all that He calls us to do (Philippians 4:13). Knowing Jesus, loving Him and going through life with Him is what Living Hope is all about. Remember, "Hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." (Romans 5:5). We all need hope, especially living hope. Our prayer is that God use Living Hope to find and grow in His hope.
Currently on Living Hope we are teaching verse by verse through Paul's inspired letter to the Philippians. The title of our study is Jesus' Joy - A Mindset to Live Above Life's Circumstances. In our study we will discover that Joy is not a mere feeling, it is the presence of Jesus within assuring, guiding, and empowering through life. Life can be difficult. But with Jesus' joy we can weather any storm and rise to new heights of living. Get your Bibles and come join us as we study this incredible part of the Word of God.
